INITIAL CONSULTATION

This is where we get to know your vision. In this first meeting, we dive into your vision, explore design possibilities, and assess the site or existing structure. We answer your questions, provide insights on budget and compliance, and guide you toward the best path to bring your project to life.

FEE PROPOSAL

A proposal is then provided within few days after the initial site visit, which includes a price and timeframe constructed to fit the requirements of the project.

SITE INVESTIGATION

We complete a measure of the existing site and building to determine any critical dimensions required during the design phase. We then model the existing dimensions into CAD so we have an accurate starting point for design.

CONCEPT DESIGN

This is the exciting part, we craft initial sketches based on your brief, exploring forms and layouts while uncovering the potential of your project. To keep things smooth, we consult with Planners early, tackling any compliance hurdles head-on and setting the stage for a seamless process.

DEVELOPED DESIGN

Once the concept design is approved, we refine and expand it, resolving critical construction details and creating detailed, dimensioned site and building plans. Material selections are finalised, and we work closely with a Builder or Quantity Surveyor to ensure the design stays within your budget.

PLANNING ASSESSMENT

At this point we determine if or what planning restrictions may apply to the concept design. We create a set of preliminary drawings for relevant consultants to review and provide feedback from. At this stage we determine whether a Resource Consent is required.

RESOURCE CONSENT

Once the relevant consultants have provided their reports and advice we formalise the drawings and documentation for Resource Consent lodgement.

BUILDING CONSENT

We complete the technical design and documentation required by Council to show the project complies with the New Zealand Building Code. We liaise with any relevant external consultants, and complete all application forms and checklists as required by Council for Building Consent lodgement.

PROCESSING

Our team will simplify the process by managing all interactions with the Council on your behalf. We oversee consent lodgements, address Council queries, provide necessary documentation to meet the NZ Building Code, coordinate with external consultants, and complete all required application forms and checklists for Building Consent lodgement.
